When Will I Receive My Order?

We use express shipping on all of our orders within South Africa. You can expect delivery the same-day, up to 4-working days once we have received your payment. Once the order has been packed & fulfilled, you will get an automated email & you will also then be able to track your order from then onwards on our "Track Order" page on our website. Just insert your personalized tracking order number associated with your order to see which stage of shipping your order is in.

Gauteng: Same Day or Up to 2-Day Delivery.

Every Other Province: Next Day or Up to 3-Day Delivery.

Outlier Area's: 2-Days or Up to 4-Day Delivery.

How Are Orders Packaged?

Each order is hand-picked & packed in traditional, breathable & recyclable kraft paper bags to prolong the shelf life to up to 10-15 days; although we suggest eating our biltong within 3-5 days for maximum flavour profiles, moisture & taste. We included a food certified medical-grade 'ice pack' to each order to combat heat & moisture during delivery. We then fulfill orders with our FREE 1-4 Day Nationwide Express Delivery to your door - bringing your the fastest delivery time & longest lasting biltong in our industry.

How Should I Store My Biltong?

Dryer Climates can keep their biltong in the recyclable kraft paper bags & kept in a cool dry place like a cupboard.

Humid Climates should keep their biltong in the recyclable kraft paper bags & kept in a fridge.

Extended Storage Periods of up to 3-months; the biltong can be stored & frozen within a plastic bag in the freezer. Biltong can then be taken out the freezer and within 1-hour of thawing - it should usually be ready to be eaten at a preferred temperature again.

What Ingredients Are Used In The Biltong?

We only use organic, gluten-free & preservative-free salt, pepper, coriander, brown vinegar, worcestershire sauce & premium sustainable beef.

Is The Biltong Gluten Free?

Yes, our biltong is Gluten Free.

Is The Biltong Halal Friendly?

Although our suppliers are Halal certified, our facilities are not yet Halal Certified.

How Can We Pay?

We currently offer PayFast as our Primary Secured Payment Gateway which allows you to pay using Credit & Cheque Cards, Instant EFT, MobiCred, MasterPass, SnapScan, Zapper & Debit Card. Read more about it here on our PayFast Payment Page.

Lastly, you can also EFT us, but the order will only be processed once the money has reflected.

What Are The Shipping Options?

As per Our Shipping Policy - We provide FREE 1-4 Day Nationwide Express Delivery to your door, so that you have nothing to worry about. We have streamlined this process to minimize issues and provide a convenient experience, where you are kept in the loop at every checkpoint via Email or SMS, and/or via our 'Track Order Page'. 

We also offer optional Urgent VIP 1-2 day delivery.

What Do I Do If I Never Received My Order?

If you have not received your order within 5 working days please go to the "Track Order" page on our website and insert your personalized tracking order number associated with your order to see which stage of shipping your order is in. If you did not find that helpful please contact us in the  "Contact us" page, or email us at Hello@BiltongBoytjies.co.za and we will follow up on your order.

What Do I Do If I Want An Exchange/Refund?

Please note, due to the nature of our product - we do not offer any refunds/exchanges as per our Return Policy unless:

  1. Within 30-minutes of receiving your order, an email was sent to Hello@BiltongBoytjies.co.za.
  2. Attached to the email include images of the package being received, as well as the product and the issues made visible.
  3. The item must be uneaten and the same weight as when received. 
  4. The package must be able to be sent back in its original packaging.
  5. At least One Of The following Issues must have to occured: The product was uneatable (raw, too dry or includes mould) as per Biltong Boytjies discretion; the product weighed less than 10% of the agreed purchasable weight; The product had foreign objects.

How Do I Make Changed To An Order I Already Placed?

Please feel free to contact us at Hello@BiltongBoytjies.co.za to see if we can help you. There is usually a 15-30 Minute gap between when the order has been placed and the order is packed & distributed. Unfortunately, once the order has left the premises - we cannot make any changes.
